Many great patterns are included with the system. Patterns are also available commercially. However, no matter how many patterns you have, there will always be that one quilt that begs for a special design. Don't worry! With CompuQuilter, you just import any non-copyrighted drawing into the system and create your own design. You may choose to trace a pattern from part of a fabric, or write the name of the person who will own the quilt. You may choose to draw your own design and scan it or you may use publicly available clip art. Your imagination is your only limit and you will still have the powerful options you have with the patterns provided with the system. Patterns by many designers are also available in CompuQuilter format and many more are becoming available daily.
